I grew up between two languages and never quite finished choosing one. Los Angeles taught me pace, Mexico City taught me patience, and most of what I make now lives somewhere between the two. I started behind a still camera, and I still wait before I shoot, keeping my crews small so there's room for something true to happen.

For the better part of a decade, I've made films for people I actually believe in, labels who trust silence as much as sound, artists who'd rather show up unrehearsed than perform. I edit the way I shoot: by instinct, chasing what's true enough that it doesn't need to look good to matter.
